"Porta-aviões" no Golfo da Guiné

São Tomé - A marinha norte-americana vai iniciar o processo de instalação de um sofisticado sistema de radares de vigilância no espaço marítimo são-tomense, anunciou a Embaixada dos EUA em Libreville, Gabão.
Será instalado no território marítimo são-tomense um sofisticado sistema de radares de vigilância com um alcance que abrangerá a África Central com uma especial incidência no Golfo da Guiné, que, segundo a diplomacia americana, visa a localização, identificação e obtenção de informações dos navios que circulam espaço marítimo exclusivo do arquipélago, um projecto avaliado em 18 milhões de dólares. Este projecto está enquadrado no programa do centro regional de vigilância marítima, REMC (Regional Maritime Awareness Center) no Golfo da Guiné.Segundo o conselheiro científico do Comando das Forças Navais americanas na Europa, baseado em Itália, do qual depende África, John Mittlemen, este sistema de radar em São Tomé visa a «protecção e segurança marítima da região e do Golfo da Guiné» e possibilitará aos EUA de «reagirem» no caso de identificação de um navio suspeito. Entretanto fontes governamentais americanas garantiram que os EUA «não tem qualquer intenção de instarem uma base naval em São Tomé», contrariando as várias notícias que tem circulado sobre esta possibilidade.Do Golfo Pérsico para o Golfo da GuinéOs actuais factores de instabilidade e insegurança que se multiplicam no Golfo Pérsico, e especialmente o caos iraquiano, agravado agora pelo «relatório Baker», levou a administração norte-americana a orientar-se para o Golfo da Guiné, uma zona considerada mais estável. O Congresso norte-americano já considerara o Golfo da Guiné como uma região de «interesse vital» para os EUA, uma afirmação que está directamente associada ao petróleo, dado que a América é o primeiro consumidor e importador de petróleo do Mundo. Daí que os EUA pretendem até 2015 extraírem do Golfo da Guiné 25 por cento do seu «bruto», em detrimento do inseguro Golfo Pérsico.Washington tem multiplicado nos últimos anos a cooperação militar com os seus principais fornecedores de «bruto», Nigéria, Angola e Guiné Equatorial. No mesmo quadro São Tomé e Príncipe acolheu também uma equipa de formadores militares americanos da empresa MRPI (Military Professional Resources Inc.) considerada por alguns especialistas como uma empresa de características «mercenárias», da qual o principal cliente é o departamento de defesa norte-americano.Do ponto de vista estratégico militar, São Tomé e Príncipe tem sem duvida atributos geográficos ímpares que lhe permitem de se tornar num verdadeiro porta-aviões fixo em pleno Golfo da Guiné, observando países de regimes políticos frágeis e delicados, mas onde estão presentes várias plataformas petrolíferas norte-americanas, especialmente a ChevronTexaco e Exxon Mobil.

E de saliantar que no raio de 1000 km, existe uma população de 250 milhões de habitantes o que torna uma zona proveitosa para o comércio mundial. Razão pela qual vários grupos economicos se concentram em São Tomé e Principe como plataforma de actuação que visa a sua implementação nos paises em franco crescemento economico.

Situation in The Island´s of São Tomé e Principe

The situation is not dramatic, it´s a very small country that as not hungry problemas, they have a lot of fish and fruts. The land gives 2 to 3 crops by year, so that is good for one side, but bad for the other because they have no problem with food, they don´t fell that need to work to have a beter life. But day-by-day the are starting to wake up, seing good houses in the island , good cars, they are starting to came almost to Europe, and want to get something more that living amoung the trees, width small houses, a lot of small salvage animals. That is the DANGER, because it´s urgent to give the know-how and the tools for them to live but for a good reasen and not to by explored by the world. Another Danger is they want to go to ocident country´s breaking ilegal to the country´s to be explore by person without any problem to do their, the unic solution is to gibve them since biggining the education and formation that they need. I´m glady that in the near times will open a university in São tomé Island, that will be good for the reasan´s that i already put upside.
